Healthy Cities Onkaparinga held the 2020 AGM on 14th October at Christie Downs Community House with about 25 people attending.
The annual report and financial report were presented and Lorraine Rosenberg kindly acted as returning officer for election of the new management committee.
All existing members re-nominated except Robyn Holtham who has resigned due to other community commitments. We thank Robyn for her work and wish her well for the future.
Jules then presented on the establishment and development of the Onkaparinga Dementia Friendly Alliance which aims to make Onkaparinga a more dementia aware and friendly city
Sharon presented the achievements of the Onkaparinga Food Security Collaborative which is working with a number of partners to increase food security in our region.
Gwyn then described the Good Health Data project and launched the final report, containing recommendations for organisations about how to increase community engagement in collecting and using health data. Finally, a short workshop on water security asked participants about their views on this topic in Onkaparinga and some priority actions for HCO in our next major project. The afternoon ended with refreshments and networking opportunities. The management committee look forward to another busy and successful year – stay tuned!
